"Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing, there is a field. I’ll meet you there.” This poem by Rumi captures the experience of being in the safe, non-judgmental space that we will create in order to explore who you really are. Each one of us is born with an inner wisdom to guide us in making healthy choices about our lives. Our connection to this internal compass gets protected and hidden as we grow up in our imperfect world.

Since 1985, I have been helping clients – normal people who have encountered difficulties in their lives – to get through crises and to connect with their inner wisdom.

As a therapist, I have many tools to help you. You need to bring a willingness to explore and to discover (sometimes this willingness comes only when you are feeling desperate!) I have experience in working with people of all ages, from pre-school to retirement. I work with individuals, couples and families.

Elaine Chan-Scherer is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW 14246). You can reach her at (415) 379-4591 x1.
